The proposed rear extension enables the ground floor to be better utilised as a multi-function family space. The kitchen and dining space are naturally lit through a siting area that connects to the garden. The extension also enables better use of the previous extension as a bootroom, with WC and utility cupboards, maximising the use of space.

The extension is to be constructed out of timber framing with no structural steel and breathable insulation to create not only a naturally lit space, but also one that contributes to the wellbeing of the occupants.
