After a successful planning appeal to obtain planning and conservation area consent, the project is currently underway on-site. It was crucial to effectively communicate the design to demonstrate the appropriateness of the approach which led to the approval of the full proposals.

During the feasibility study, we carefully addressed the client's requirements, which involved creating a modern living space that seamlessly connects the house with the garden, addressing the current disconnect. Through thorough analysis, we determined that the most suitable approach was to utilise the existing structure and incorporate a very small extension. This approach not only helps in cost efficiency but also ensures the creation of a sustainable dwelling that maximises the use of the existing structure.

By optimising the existing elements and introducing a well-planned extension, we achieve a harmonious integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, fulfilling the client's vision while respecting the site's context and sustainability goals. The proposed design seeks to enhance the living experience while making the most efficient use of available resources.
