Wyaston Grove
This project involves the sensitive conservation, restoration, and extension of a Grade II listed, predominantly Georgian dwelling in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The design approach carefully respects the building’s historic fabric and architectural character while accommodating contemporary living requirements.
Restoration works prioritise traditional craftsmanship and detailing, complemented by the considered adaptation of existing outbuildings. New interventions are deliberately restrained, ensuring a clear yet harmonious dialogue between old and new.
Natural and sustainable materials are used throughout, including lime plaster and lime render, to maintain breathability and long-term durability. The project reinforces the heritage value of the property while securing its continued use for future generations.
